THE MAGIC OF MUSIC

After more than 15 years of delivering concerts in therapeutic environments, I am still astounded by the incredible impact music has. It has the power to console, comfort, excite and stimulate. Movement, memory, language, co-ordination and communication can all be vastly improved simply by sharing the joy of music.

I have been lucky enough to sing around a thousand such concerts either with my friends at Music in Hospitals or privately in residential homes, hospitals, schools and day centers and am blessed to meet fascinating people of all ages, all so profoundly touched by music.  Even the reactions of family and carers are precious, often moved to tears when they see someone’s personality blossom and the gateway of communication open!
