Memorial Celebration Concerts...

In 2007 I was overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of all those who helped me to pull-off one of the most important concerts of my life. After loosing my darling Grandfather to Cancer in 1997 I promised myself that as soon as I felt I could do justice to his memory I would put on a concert to raise money for research into cures for cancer and for the nurses who did so much to help and support our family in the darkest days.

It was my Grandad who had been the driving force behind my singing and it was such an honour to be able to share all the joy he gave me with such a full and loving audience. My huge thanks will eternally go to each and every one of you who helped me to pull everything together and to enjoy the incredible energy of that night. We were fantastically successful in our task, together we raised a whopping £2459.79 for Cancer Research! So, all things permitting I would love to make this a regular event, I am hoping that every five years or so I will be able to organise another concert, alternating between Cancer Research and Macmillan Nurses so watch this space!!
